Indexing plungers GN608.1 with a rest position are used for such applications where the plunger has to stay in its retracted position. To achieve this, the knob is rotated by 90 degrees after being retracted.

The head of the plunger body is provided with a suitable notch in opposite positions so as to prevent the plunger from accidentally slipping back into its forward position.

A special feature of GN608.1 is its reduced dimension. The locking tab is integrated into the knob thus giving reliable operation at all times.

This concept of indexing plunger has been designed for mounting on thin walled parts by means of countersunk screws or rivets.
