GN50.1 Retaining Magnet, Disc Shape, Unthreaded.
This retaining pot magnet, GN 50.1, is a simple, cost effective & long lasting means of securely holding items in place without causing damage.
A pot magnet consists of a steel shell containing a powerful magnet. This steel pot directs the magnetic field lines downward to the contact surface. This causes the magnetic force to be concentrated at the contact surface and therefore increases the strength of the magnet.
This strong adhesive force occurs only on direct contact with the counterpart. A pot magnet is not suitable for attraction over distance. For the best adhesive force the contact surface should ideally be a thick, smooth and unpainted surface.
It can be easily fixed in place by glueing or using a side mounted thrust bolt, for example GN913.2, grub screw with pointed nose.
Housing - Steel, zinc plated.
Hard ferrite HF - temperature resistant up to 200°C
SmCo SC - Samarium, Cobalt, temperature resistant up to 200°C.
NdFeB ND - Neodymium, Iron, Boron, temperature resistant up to 80°C.
