This shielded pot retaining magnet is a simple, cost effective & long lasting means of securely holding items in place without causing damage.
A pot magnet consists of a steel shell containing a powerful magnet. This steel pot directs the magnetic field lines downward to the contact surface. This causes the magnetic force to be concentrated at the contact surface and therefore increases the strength of the magnet.
This strong adhesive force occurs only on direct contact with the counterpart. A pot magnet is not suitable for attraction over distance. For the best adhesive force the contact surface should ideally be a thick, smooth and unpainted surface.
It has a tapped hole for fixing in place. For diameter d1 50 the adhesive surface is lagged with a plastic cover.
To ensure that the magnetic properties (adhesive forces) are not impaired, the fixing screws must be made of non-magnetic material.
Housing - Steel, zinc plated
Magnet - NdFeB ND, neodymium, iron, boron. Temperature resistant up to 80°C
Plastic cover - Technopolymer (Polyamide PA)
