A typical application is location pins which have to be often removed and re-placed again. The rectangular pawls made of stainless steel sheet metal keep the lo- cking pin in an axial position in the bore. It can be retracted by pressing the button, once released it returns the pressure spring into its locking position. The version with swiveling lifting ring is ideal for the use in confined spaces. The technical annexe contains the load capacities for the double-sided shearing resistance (breaking strength). see also... • List of Lock Pin Types → Page 1008 ff. • Stainless Steel Locking Pins GN 114.3 (with knob) → Page 1020 • Guide Bushings DIN 172 (Cylindrical, with Collar) → Page 1112 • Guide Bushings DIN 179 (Cylindrical, without Collar) → Page 1112 Information • GN 214.3 - - Pin Stainless steel AISI 303 - - Slide / Push button Plastic Temperature resistant up to 80 °C Red • GN 214.6 - - Pin Stainless steel AISI 303 - - Slide / Push button Stainless steel AISI 303 This information applies to both standards: • Pawl Stainless steel sheet metal AISI 304 • Lifting ring Stainless steel AISI 301 • Pressure spring Stainless steel AISI 301 • Load Capacity → Page 2131 • ISO Fundamental Tolerances → Page 2151 • Stainless Steel Characteristics → Page 2166 • RoHS Specification • Ball Chains GN 111 / GN 111.5 → Page 1174 • Retaining Cables GN 111.2 → Page 1176 • Spiral Retaining Cables GN 111.4 → Page 1175 Accessory GN 214.3 GN 214.6 Stainless Steel Locking Pins Plastic Slide Stainless Steel Slide with Axial Lock (Pawl) 1 d 1 2 l 1 How to order (Stainless steel, with SST slide) 1 2 GN214.6-10-60 1 d 1 2 l 1 How to order (Stainless steel, with plastic slide) 1 2 GN214.3-16-70 * only GN 214.3 1 2 d 1 −0,1 l 1 +0,4 Minimum size a b d 2 d 3 d 4 d 5 l 2 l 3  6 10* 12* 16 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 60 70 80 - - 2,3 0,5 7,5 +0,5  5,9 12 23 7 38  8 10* 16 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 60 70 80 90 100 - 2,8 0,6 10 +0,5  7,9 12 23 8,4 38 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 60 70 80 90 100 110 120 3,3 1 12 +1  9,9 16 28 9,8 42 12 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 60 70 80 90 100 110 120 - 3,8 1 14 +1 11,9 16 28 11,3 42 16 30 35 40 45 50 60 70 80 90 100 110 120 130 140 150 4,8 1,2 19 +1 15,9 20 32 14,2 46,5
