GN518 Tapered Knob for Positioning Symbols 

Tapered knobs/handles are a commonplace component used for many applications, and have a classic design which has stood the test of time. They are designed to fit snugly into the palm of the hand for comfortable usage. 

The GN 518 tapered knobs do not require a thread at the shaft. During mounting, gentle taps with a soft hammer are sufficient to drive the knob into place; the shaft end should be slightly rounded or chamfered (30°). The knobs sit absolutely vibration tight.  

The transparent sight glass allows symbols to be placed underneath. Once the knob is mounted on the shaft, the symbol is placed into the recess of the separately supplied sight glass and driven home with a soft hammer. The symbol is fully protected from dirt and liquid by the tight connection between the sight glass and the knob.

The tapered knob has a shiny black Plastic finish and transparent sight glass with a magnifying effect.
