GN706.3 Threaded Set Collar, Steel, Semi Split
Semi-split set collars GN 706.4 can safely and simply be clamped by reducing the slot height by using an adjustable clamping lever and thus they act, for instance, like an end stop. This version offers great advantages especially for applications that demand new positions of the set collar. They have a high clamping force without damaging the surface of the shaft and can be fully adjusted and repostioned on the shaft. They can be used to hold bearings and sprockets on shafts, and for fixing or triggering other components such as end limit switches. They can also be used for locating purposes.
The thread d3 for sizes d1 = 20 to 36 is designed as a through hole, from size d1 = 42 it is designed as a blind hole.
