DIN319 Plastic Press On Ball Knob
Ball knobs/handles are a commonplace component used for many applications, and have a classic design which has stood the test of time. They are designed to fit snugly into the palm of the hand for comfortable usage.
The DIN 319 ball knobs type L and M are used on shafts without a thread. They have a comfortable, modern design, ideal for use on crank handles, handwheels & levers.
During mounting, gentle blows with a soft hammer are sufficient to drive the knob into place; the shaft end should be slightly rounded or chamfered (30°).
Before the assembly of type L knobs, the tolerance ring is to be inserted into the drilling. Additionally, ensure that the button is perpendicular and/or axially parallel to prevent the knob from braking.
Type M ball knobs are a cheaper option, however, the pulling-off force is less predictable.
